Community Involvement

Waltman Construction has been a proud member of the Truckee community for nearly three decades. As a family owned and operated business, sharing our success with the community is one of our company’s core values.

We contribute to many local charitable causes and we thank our loyal customer base for making it possible for us to support the many organizations listed below. We hope that you will follow suit in making philanthropy a part of your family’s culture.

Truckee High School

The local school system, and particularly the Truckee High School sports teams, is one of our favorite charitable organizations. Waltman Construction coordinated the construction of the football stadium snack bar, which has enabled the high school to generate thousands of dollars in revenue each season since its inception.

I would personally like to take the time to express my sincere gratitude for your company and its family members for the generous support you Have given to Truckee High School, its students And the Truckee High School Booster Club over the past twenty plus years, I am not only speaking of the thousands of dollars you have donated, but more importantly the thousands of hours you have donated in service with our athletes, coaches, building the snack bar, and I could go on. I am convinced that few, if any, companies have been as generous to our school and community as Waltman Construction. Waltman Construction has purchased hundreds of trophies, uniforms and endless gallons of Gatorade and water for the players during the games. We’ve also scouted and filmed competitors across the state and given numerous cash donations to the Truckee High School sports teams. Go Wolverines!

Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District The local school system, and particularly the Truckee High School sports teams, is one of our favorite charitable organizations. Waltman Construction coordinated the construction of the football stadium snack bar, which has enabled the high school to generate thousands of dollars in revenue each season since its inception.
We have continued our dedication to youth sports by sponsoring various teams such as youth softball and basketball through the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District.

Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund

Waltman Construction is proud to be a founding member of the Truckee Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund. The Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund is an organization dedicated to building women's philanthropy in the Truckee/North Tahoe area. We have successfully raised an endowment fund of over one million dollars which will be used to support local nonprofit organizations.

KidZone Museum

The KidZone Museum is a nonprofit children’s museum serving Truckee and the Lake Tahoe basin. At the last annual Texas Hold’Em fundraising event we were a “Full House” sponsor. The event raised over $36,000!

Tahoe Donner

We take great pleasure in supporting Tahoe Donner^® events. Over the years we have volunteered many hours at the Tahoe Donner Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, the Tahoe Donner youth downhill ski team and participated in building the Tahoe Donner 4th of July parade floats. We also sponsor some of the Tahoe Donner golf tournaments.

Additional Organizations we Regularly Support

The Humane Society (we have personally adopted and fostered animals), Truckee Fire Department, Truckee Chamber of Commerce, Nevada County Sheriffs, local chapters of The Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Of America and the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors.
